 Miss Congeniality mixes a beauty pageant, I mean "scholarship contest", with an FBI sting. Hot chicks and undercover cops - could it get any better?
A madman is threatening to blow up the Miss United States of America pageant, run by character played by William Shatner and Candice Bergen. Benjamin Bratt (who plays FBI agent Eric Matthews) and Sandra Bullock (playing the role of Gracie Hart) get enlisted by their boss to find out who's out to destroy the pageant.
For anyone that's ever watched a beauty pageant on TV, they'll be sure to find the humor in the behind the scenes action and conversations that often takes place between Bullock's character and the rest of the pageant contestants.
Michael Caine was hilarious in his role as the person that's hired to turn Gracie Hart from rough and tumble FBI agent to prim and proper beauty queen. Of course, with Sandra Bullock, it can't be that hard of a task, but nonetheless enjoyable.
Bergen plays a former beauty queen who's made it her life to make sure this "scholarship contest" always runs flawlessly, and is certainly one of the bright parts of the movie.
This movie is funny. Really funny. Each actor/actress portrays their character in just the right way to make them all mesh together so perfectly. I enjoy this movie every time I watch it. |
